How long does a rewire take?
Most house rewires take a few days, depending on the size of the house and access. You’ll get a timescale with your estimate.
Can I stay in the house?
In most cases, yes. We’ll talk you through what to expect each day before we start.
Will there be mess?
Rewiring means lifting some floorboards and chasing walls, so there is some disruption. We use dust sheets and clean up every day.
Do I need a new fuse box?
Usually, yes. A rewire is the right time to fit a new consumer unit to current regulations, and we’ll include it in the estimate where needed.
Do landlords need an EICR?
Yes. In England, landlords must have the electrics inspected at least every five years and give tenants a copy of the report.
